Romance
a poem by Rania D.
Come watch the tender sepals unfold
Timid petals shall undress
The beauty these flowers behold
As we indulge in the wilderness
We’ll see the meadow shift and fold
As the breeze will fondle and caress
The oaks will rustle a hymn so old
As you whisper love and I confess
We’ll kiss under the shady bough
Two shadows lodged in their nest
What great protection you bestow
When I’m softly cushioned on your chest
Shall you pick an array
Clustered buds and blossom filled
They shall gracefully sway
Their fragrance subtle, nectar distilled
I will bloom for you like pristine roses
scarlet soft and blushing red
No threat a thorn imposes
As we both lie down
on their abundant bed
