Katung Musa Aduwak AKA “SOJOURNERINC” is currently a freelance multimedia artist, an answer to a calling he’s eluded for the longest and a concrete decision he opted to make for his family and himself after serving as Senior Channel Manager at MTV Base, Senior Creative Director at VIACOM International and also Executive Director at Chocolate City.
He produced and directed the movies “Unwanted Guest”, “Heaven’s Hell” & “Not Supposed to be here”. He also directed a number of music videos for Nigerian record label, Chocolate City, for gospel and pop musical group, Styl Plus, actor and singer, Gabriel Afolayan also known as G-Fresh and has starred in EbonyLife TV’s “Desperate Housewives” and more recently “Corridor” a feature produced in Milwaukee Wisconsin.
Originally from Kaduna State in northern Nigeria, Katung has a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Jos in Plateau State, Nigeria.
He worked as a radio broadcaster and also participated in the inaugural Big Brother Nigeria reality show, where he won USD $100,000. Katung obtained a directorial degree from the Digital Film Academy in New York.
Katung credits his admirable qualities and steady rise to the foundation molded at the prestigious Air Force Military School Jos where he received a sound secondary and military education.
He has decided to channel all his experiences into his first love and pivot; ART. He ranges from acrylic on canvas, denim, sneakers to enamel on ceramics and also digital expressions (NFTs). He is not boxed into one style of art, though he has a strong affinity for abstract expressions, one thing that is never absent is his bold choice of colors and strong African influence. He is a world traveler and his experiences are also evident in his expressions of art.
