Genre'd Creative Writing Workshop (Grades 9-12) (VIRTUAL)

Summer Creative Writing workshops for 9-12 graders is a 90 minute weekly writing workshop that will enable your child to continue utilizing the skills of writing, critical thinking, reading, and discussion when school is out. We have certified educators who will design the curriculum, monitor, and facilitate instruction for our students.

Details:

  • Small groups limited to 15 students

  • Manuscript creation

  • Genre’d Tee (a t-shirt from our creative’s collection)

  • a Copy of our most recent Genre: Urban Arts Signature Print

  • 1-2 works published in an anthology that includes works from our workshops

  • Experience in book design

  • Virtual Event: online virtual event. In prep, students will be coached in performance and public speaking

  • Online publishing: individual page one website that includes selected works, photo, + bio

  • International Community: work with students, speakers, and instructors from all around the globe!

Dates: June 21- August 23

Days x Time: Tuesdays— 11-12:30 x Thursday’s— 5-6:30
