During the BLM movement, we witnessed people supporting the cause in their own ways, through protesting, volunteering, or silently reflecting. The Asian American community has been traditionally less vocal but more and more of us now feel the need to voice up. So I have created this project alongside five females, who are from various industries to show solidarity.
Zhen is a composer, photographer, filmmaker, and adventurer. She has received her master’s degrees in Film Scoring from NYU, and Electronic Music Design from Shanghai Conservatory of Music. Zhen works for Film at Lincoln Center, NYFF, Story Collider. Meanwhile, her film works have been touring around various film festivals in the U.S.
Zhen truly believes in the power of storytelling, no matter the method or medium. While traveling between visual and auditory, those two different worlds, she is always looking for the interdependence in between to better tell the tale.
