He held the dirty glass

Tube to the light

“Do you know what this is?”

She shakes her head “no”

But he doesn’t believe her

He knows the story-as they

All do- The Town-

About a love of shards,

Muddy and deep

An Ancestry

Good hair- they have

Good stock-

Strong genes

Boy, those Harris kids...

They sure do

Have their father’s smile
