Heavy

Bearing down on the groundher tired feet flattened, surrenderingunder the weight of it all;of the winding in her core— building, before flooding her parted lips, after having quickened, ignited, and finished tearing throughher insides. Smoke billowed out, a dense cloud formed over head, all of her madness — cast in the dreary undertones of her worry rained down, drenching heras it did every time before; It was a vicious cycle, keeping all the monsters at bay, intent on taking a bite out of her spirit. Little by little, her own self loathing ate awayat her soul. - HEAVY ©️ Heather Lynn Matthews ______________________________Photo Credit: Photo by Bernard on Unsplash
