CLIMATE CRISIS
I drive my car among a cluster of smog
I was oblivious to who was hurting us
I didn’t recycle that one piece of paper
No, it is not me. It is a big game.
The game of cat and mouse
Amazon, Apple, BP
All them put the blame on me
But we are not to blame.
It is not our fault, the ordinary man
Brown river, brown water
It is not our fault, the concerned soul
Orange sky, hazy day.
It is not our fault, the ones of poverty
No ice, no life
It is not our fault, but we feel helpless.
Call it how it actually is.
What is the overall topic of your project and why did you choose that? The overall topic of my project is the worldwide climate crisis and how multi-billion dollar corporations are not held accountable for their actions.
What are 3- 4 subtopics that you chose to include in this project? What do you want the audience to know about these subtopics? How do they relate to society + is there a personal connection? Natural disasters, plastic pollution, water access, industrial effects. I think the audience needs to be aware of all these elements that have been building up the climate crisis and climate change. IT EFFECTS ALL OF US. WE WILL DIE IF THIS IS NOT ADDRESSED.
What do you want the audience to know about your project & your creation of the project? Attend rallies and demonstrations, write letters to representatives, etc

My collage is an arrangement of pictures that show how detrimental climate change, pollution, etc has become in recent years, as well as the growing concern for the Earth through protests, rallies, and activism.
The picture that most speaks to me is the masked man holding a globe and bloody hands reaching for it. To me, it symbolizes Mother Nature as one who will eventually reclaim herself from the greedy corporations exploiting and ruining her.
