Urban Art and Venetian Gothic city
Udine: a Hapsburg city with Venetian influences. White stones and opaque iron that embellishing the balconies with Liberty drawings.Udine is a town in the northeast of Italy, rich in decorations and rigorous, imposing and serious buildings. Then suddenly, in the city center, under the Studio of some Professionals, here are the contemporary artworks: A child face weeping, it almost seems like a Caravaggio that is revealed to people.A child with an eye that reminds us of contemporary time: Japan, cartoons, plastic and enamels. Yet these two so distant worlds live together in one single wall.Past Ages that intersect and are faced with the opposite expressions: yin and yang? present and past? Human or robot? true or false? We don't know. And we like it.Next to this face, a completely different wall: black background, light geometric figures and almost impalpable: a Malevich of today? An expanding universe? Geometries or thought structures?A wall that contrasts with the marble decorations of the side columns, yet a happy marriage between architecture and painting. The palace is very ancient, we are in the center of the city, but the paintings are contemporary. To The left two abstract paintings, with colored planes intersecting with geometric movements. It looks like a world under construction. What are these paintings put together? But should we see them as a single painting? Were they painted by a single person? Where is the signature? We don't know.It is also difficult to see them together because the road is very narrow and for observation you have to go diagonally.Watching them, people passing, someone watching others are indifferent. What would you do if you were facing them? What do you do when you look at urban art? Is the photographer it enough? Do you put it on social media? Or do you analyze the painting like it is Picasso, studying it like a work of art?
