Sacrifice

a poem by Briayvette

In the depths of her ribcage there is this
city abandoning hearts
Haunted with memories
In the temptation of being cautious
treading lightly
I applaud you
There’s a courage there
Though meek and mild mannered
It lives within that ribcage city
The very beat is a set up for a perfect
verse
And i’ll tell you what’s worse,
It became the very thing she feared truth.
He asked for a peace of hers long ago,
And that was the true temptation
That she would then, pay for it.
