Workshop Expectations

  • Everyone can bring their full self.

  • We will speak one at a time.

  • It is ok to have contrasting opinions, but we will not argue in this space.

  • We will approach one another’s work and creativity as an extension of the artist and be respectful of it.

  • Feel free to ask questions.

  • Take care of yourself in this space.

Topic Brainstorm

All of your work will center around one topic. Each creative element you make should be an extension of your larger topic.

 

Vision Board

We are now going to create a vision board for our topics. You can use Canva.com or any other platform that you would like to use that will enable you to make a collage.

COLLAGE ELEMENTS

  • In your collage make sure to include images and quotes that pertain to your subject,

  • You should have anywhere from 20-30 items on your collage.

COLLAGE EXPLANATION

  • Write 1-3 paragraphs that explain the concepts found in your collage. Referencing specific elements and explaining their relevance and importance to your topic.

 

Homework

  • Bring a photo to next session that aligns itself with your topic 

  • this photo can come from vision board

  • Complete Vision Board

  • Vision Board Explanation (see description above)

  • Record a video of 1-2 minutes of your day. 

    • I will compile and edit the videos to make a short film to be the opening for our virtual exhibition page.
