Lake is an up and coming artist that mixes so many different elements of music that it would be a mistake to box him into one genre. Lake’s rapping and singing skills coincide with one another on nearly every track. His most recent release is a joint project with fellow Milwaukee MC “Jalen G” featuring exclusive production by “No B”, entitled “Home Insurance.”

The project shows they have no plan on letting themselves get lost amongst other Milwaukee artists. Discussing topics from Uncle Sam to mental illness to trust issues, they show they have a lot to say within a coherent concept.

Just in 2019, Lake has been making a lot of noise with his extravagant stage performances across the city. He also was featured on Cronytape Vol. 1, which was a mixtape released by Cronies Only. Tracks like “Copy Me (feat. Marty.)”, “Liar w/ Marty., and DJTHEJENIUS”, and “Tarzan w/ Eli $tones and Trav Pachino”, instantly made shows hype and overall an event to be remembered.

Lake’s debut solo album will focus heavily on the singing while still offering the same amount of energy and charisma he shows in his rapping and stage performances. The album is slated to release sometime winter 2019, but you can catch him performing and teasing tracks at his live performances.

“Come Back” in particular has received a lot of love and support even though it’s only been heard through snippets at his shows. Don’t sleep on Lake because he is undoubtedly here to stay and has been proving himself as one of the most unique and true artists in the scene.
