Stitched Lips
I see the figure of a man,
I see a face,
I see all these things that I know,
Yet, I don't know.
I look for the spike in energy,
Or, the dip of pulse
But yet, nothing happens
To give away those secrets at bay.
I look,
And I see a figure of a man,
A face I thought I knew,
But, now I know nothing of the man
Who I lie next to,
And I hope that I could steal a glimpse
Of those secrets he has stitched under his lips.
