It's Always Beautiful In Philadelphia
On a cool Saturday morning we set out on a walk through one of the most historic cities in the United States. This was our third time visiting Philadelphia, but this time we got to see more than just the historic landmarks. The first time we came here it was to see the Flyers play the Blackhawks in a fantastic hockey match. The second time here we visited all the obligatory historic landmarks. This time we walked 10 miles around Philadelphia to see the beautiful architecture, eat amazing cheesesteaks, and see how nature and people coexist in this Pennsylvania treasure.
Along our walk we saw families taking advantage of the cold weather by spending time playing mini golf, riding the carousel, and drinking root beer floats at Franklin Square. We walked across the Benjamin Franklin Bridge, through Chinatown, and then we saw the Ghost Ship art display. From Penn's landing you can look across the Delaware River into Camden, New Jersey and see the town where famed poet Walt Whitman spent is last days. The history is long, the people are beautiful, and Philadelphia will always be one of my favorite places to go!
